Detroit - September 12-14
In the wake of the GOP National Convention two weeks earlier, the RLC will hold its 8th biennial National Convention. Former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson, an outspoken opponent of the War on Drugs and a prominent advocate of individual liberty, will be among our featured speakers, joined by the President of Americans for Tax Reform, Grover Norquist. Texas Representative Ron Paul was invited, but unable to attend due to a scheduling conflict. The Convention Committee has invited prominent liberty stars to participate in panels, debates, and seminars. Many RLC Advisors and state legislators are expected to be in attendance. Crowne Plaza Hotel
	The luxurious Crowne Plaza Hotel at the Detroit Airport will host the assembly of liberty lovers from across the country. Events begin Friday evening and continue through Sunday morning. The main banquet will be held Saturday evening. Hotel Details

Official RLC Business
Delegates will consider amendments to the national Bylaws and elect new National officers. Officials from chapters around the country will report and their election and party activism. RLC Advisory Board members and legislators will discuss new activities, seminars, and public events.
