The Chairman of the Michigan Republican Party, Anuzis was reviled for suggesting that Dr. Ron Paul not be included in one of the Presidential debates, but says he has been very involved in the conservative-libertarian side of the party. He has been a supporter of the Cato Institute and Mackinac Center in Michigan. Of short-term activists, Anuzis says "If you don’t get involved, you’re not going to make a difference."

Grover Norquist is the President of Americans for Tax Reform and a prominent advocate of anti-tax policies through his "Leave Me Alone Coalition".
Norquist gained notoriety as a co-author of the 1994 GOP "Contact With America" and holds a regular "Wednesday Meeting" with prominent conservative and libertarian activists in Washington, DC.
The "Taxpayer Protection Pledge" promoted by ATR has been signed by over two hundred Republican candidates for Congress. Norquist is a member of the RLC Advisory Board.
